Magnitude 6.1 earthquake jolts Luzon

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake shook parts of Luzon including Metro Manila on Monday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

Based on Earthquake Information No. 2 of Phivolcs, the epicenter of the tectonic quake struck 18 km. northeast of Castillejos, Zambales at around 5.11 p.m.

It has a depth of 12 kilometers, and felt in Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon.
